GalaSwap FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What is GalaSwap?

GalaSwap is the decentralized exchange built on GalaChain. It is non-custodial, concentrated-liquidity based, and operated by GDEX LLC. Users can swap tokens, provide liquidity, and track markets directly from their own wallet.

Is GalaSwap safe?

GalaSwap is non-custodial, meaning GDEX LLC never holds user funds. Every swap and liquidity action is signed by your wallet and executed by the on-chain DEX contract. As with any DeFi protocol there is residual smart-contract risk - review the documentation and audit reports before committing large amounts.

How do I get started?

Connect a GalaChain-compatible wallet (Gala Wallet, MetaMask via the GalaChain bridge, Trust Wallet, etc.), pick the tokens you want to swap, and sign the transaction. New users can try Easy Mode for a guided walkthrough.

How does liquidity provision work?

Liquidity providers deposit a pair of tokens into a pool and choose a price range. When a swap routes through that range, the LP earns a share of the fee proportional to the liquidity they supplied. LPs can add or remove liquidity at any time.

What fees does GalaSwap charge?

Each pool charges a protocol fee (typically 0.05%, 0.3%, or 1% depending on tier) plus a small GALA network fee for the on-chain transaction. Both appear in the swap quote before you sign.

Where can I get help?
